iSharing gives you two ways to share your location with others — Circle and Meetup. They're built for different situations, so here's how to choose.
Circle is for the people you stay connected with over time. A Circle is a group of friends or family you organize together — you can even keep separate circles for your family, your friends, and your book club. Members of a circle stay connected on the map, and circles come with extras like a shared Premium subscription (if one member is subscribed, the whole circle can use Premium features) and Place Alerts for the whole group.
Meetup is for a moment, not forever. A Meetup is a one-time gathering that runs for a set period of time. You don't have to be friends: anyone with the code can join and see each other on one shared map while it's active. When the Meetup ends, location sharing stops right away.
| Circle | Meetup | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Staying connected with friends & family over time | A specific event, trip, or gathering |
| Who's in it | People you invite to your circle | Anyone with the code (no need to be friends) |
| How long | Ongoing — no time limit | Only during the set time |
| Group size | Your circle members (you can have multiple circles) | Up to 30 people per Meetup |
| Extras | Shared Premium subscription, group Place Alerts | — |
| When it's over | Stays until you change it | Sharing stops immediately; the Meetup record is deleted after 7 days |
