A Meetup is a one-time gathering where people can see each other's real-time location on one map for a set period of time — even if they aren't friends.
Meetups are made for the moments when you meet up at a place, or move around together for a while, like an event or a trip. They work separately from your friends list.
You can see each other without being friends. Everyone in the same Meetup can see each other's location on the map without adding each other as friends. (Up to 30 people.)
It only works during the set time. You choose the start and end times yourself. When the Meetup ends, location sharing stops immediately.
Joining means sharing your location. Once you're in a Meetup, your location is shared while it's active. (This is separate from your friend location-sharing settings.)
How to start:
- On the Circle screen, choose Create a Meetup or Join with a code.
- To create your own, set a title, time, and join method — you'll become the host. → [How to create a Meetup]
- If you were invited, join right away with a code or link. → [How to join a Meetup]
