How to Navigate and Use iSharing App

Main Screen

The first screen you see when you open the iSharing app is the main screen. You can check your full friend list and their locations.

1. In the Inbox, you can view chats with the friends you've added and send messages. It also keeps a record of the alerts you've set up.
2. You can share your location for a set period of time. It opens in a web browser, so you can send it even to people who don't have the app.
3. In an emergency, tap the SOS button to send a Panic Alert. Your friends are notified of your call for help immediately.
4. You can change the Map Type to Street, Satellite, or Hybrid.
5. By default it's set to Friends, so all of your friends are shown. Tap here to switch Circles, or to create or join a Circle.

Map Section

1. Your friend's location is shown on the map. Depending on their privacy settings or premium status, a location may not appear on the map.
2. Places you've added are shown on the map as Place Markers. Place Markers can still appear when Place Alerts are turned off, and you can change this in Settings.

Friend List Section

1. By default, you appear at the top of the list.
2. iSharing shows when the location was last updated. "Now" is ideal — the longer the time, the less likely the location is being updated.
3. It shows the remaining battery level at a glance. A green battery means there is enough power left, and a red battery means the phone needs to be charged.

Friend's Profile

This is the screen you see when you select a friend on the main screen.

1. It shows the status expressions that affect location accuracy. (See the FAQ below for what each status means.)
2. When you tap it, you can choose your preferred navigation app and start Directions to your friend's detected location.

You can check more detailed information about the selected friend's location.

1. It shows when your friend's location was last updated. The longer the time, the lower the location accuracy.
2. The size of the circle shows the margin of error for the location — the larger the circle, the less accurate the position. A blue circle indicates a normal state, and a red circle indicates that location accuracy is very low.
3. It shows in detail how much battery is left on your friend's phone. The battery changes color depending on how much power remains.
