If your friend's battery icon is gray and shows "- %", iSharing can't check their phone's battery level right now.
Why the battery icon is gray
- Privacy setting – Your friend's battery level is only shown when their privacy level is set to "Share location & distance". If it's set to "Hide information" or "Share distance", the battery icon is gray.
- Phone turned off – When your friend's phone is off, the "Power OFF" label appears under their name and the battery icon is gray.
- Other cases – Whenever iSharing can't get battery information from your friend's phone, the battery icon is gray.
What you can do
- Ask your friend to change their privacy level to "Share location & distance" in Menu > Privacy.
- Tap your friend to check for a status label and follow its instructions. To learn more, see Why is my friend's location not updating? Status labels explained.
